I have been working with a football website recently. They have only just launched and have found it to be a competitive market. Obviously some football websites haven been established for many years and have a huge amount of content already published. So they needed a foothold in this competitive market. As a new website the first thing they needed was some content. So I have been writing football articles for them – analysis of thee major leagues, basic rules of the game and a reaction to the Champio0ns League draw were the first set of articles. although these alone won’t change a website in a busy market like this, they are the first step to finding an audience and being able to interact with them.
This is one of the powerful benefits of content. If you let people know what is going on, and offer an opinion then you begin to grow an audience. The people that read what you have to say may fall into one of two groups (they like it or they don’t) but at least you can start a conversation. To connect with and engage their potential audience they have had to think about what they give away fro free and what they actually sell. Much of the content gives actionable advice. There are far too many documents associated with property that talk about the abstract. This has to change and give people ides on what they can do in the real world.
