At Contented Writing towers this week, we are helping some progressive and interesting companies from across the globe with their content marketing needs. They all understand the power of quality content and what it can do for their business. So, let’s take a look at the people we are helping and the projects we are working on.
We have been working with these guys for quite some time. They have a few pieces of universal software that helps with the performance of a PC or laptop. One of the content puzzles that their business faces is the fact that there are so many different possible search terms for what they do. People could literally search for one of hundreds of terms. So, in order for the company to be found, they need content for a wide range of search terms.
This is where Contented Writing stepped in. We identified the top terms and started to write wuality engaging content for them. Then we looked at the next level of terms and wrote for them. And we continue to write today. Having quality content for a wide range of search terms means that you are more likely to be found when needed. Rather than plastering your site with low quality content that hits every possible search term known to man, look for the ones that mean the most to your business. and then write quality for each one at a time. Build up a portfolio of quality content rather than hitting search terms like they are going out of fashion and missing them all.
This is another longstanding client – and another one we are very proud to work with. This company is a car hire business that searches for the best deal for customers. They need to be found in this competitive market against some of the bigger players. This is where content takes a front seat.
Having quality content for the niche search terms makes them able to compete with the big biys. While the major companies are hoovering up customers with terms such as ‘car hire,’ our client is looking at the niches such as ‘rental car in Melbourne’ where people will search specifically and they can make that connection.
This is all about knowing where you can (and where you can’t) compete. If the big boys are paying mega money to appear at the top of a search term then let them have it. They will have deeper pockets then you. But the niches are where you can make gains. There are riches in niches.
The websites of plumbers are usually poor. They tell the same story as the next one – been in business for X years, all work guaranteed, 100% customer satisfcation, etc, etc.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. We have been working with a plumber to hit the right people in the right places. So, rather than be another plumber, they are a gas central heating engineer, a leaky tap fixer, an emergency leak repair service. These are all the things that people want when they call a plumber. Making them look and feel like their target market is starting to pay dividends already – with several calls coming directly from this new content in the first month or so of it being live.
